Supercross racing is almost exactly like motocross racing, but it takes place indoors, in most cases. Instead of creating a man-made track outside, a man-made track is created indoors. These events mostly take place in large football stadiums or other similar venues. Since the track is shorter, the races are often shorter, but the excitement is still the same. 

However, if you are just getting started with off-road racing, you are advised to purchase as much safety equipment as you possibly can. This will help to ensure that you are safe and protected, especially when first learning how to maneuver an off-road bike on an off-road track. After you gain experience, you may be able to shed some of the equipment that you no longer needed. 

Although supercross motorcycle racing has it advantages, there are disadvantages as well. One of those disadvantages is the ability to find a supercross track. The only difference between the two is that supercross racing involves the use of shorter, indoor tracks. Although your intention may be to start a career in supercross motorcycle racing, you may have to first give motocross racing a chance. This is because not all areas, in the United States, have indoor supercross motorcycle racing tracks. 

You will also find that the tracks are relatively short. The shortness of the track makes supercross BMX relatively shorter than most motorcycle events. In fact you will find that these races are shorted by about fifteen or twenty minutes. When it comes to supercross motorcycle racing, as well as supercross BMX racing, there is a common misconception believed by many.
